Prospect Park Boathouse Brooklyn Wedding

Nkiru and Richie's Summer wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse was a truly joyous celebration! The couple planned their wedding from afar as they lived in Hong Kong prior to their wedding. So for them, and most of their guests, it was a destination wedding in Brooklyn. Nkiru looked radiant in her wedding dress adorned with applique flowers and crystal details. The bride used accents of coral (her favorite color) and cobalt blue to decorate their stunning wedding. Nkiru even designed the coral lace bridesmaids dresses which were custom made in Hong Kong. The couple shared their first look in Brooklyn Heights before heading over to St. Nicholas Church in Boerum Hill.

As an Eastern Orthodox ceremony, the couple exchanges their rings at the entrance of the church before walking down the aisle together. As they walked around the altar seven times, the couple wore handmade wedding wreaths from Richie's mother. A true family heirloom to be passed down to the next generation. After the ceremony, the guest cooled off on the back patio of the boathouse sipping signature cocktails as we took portraits inside of Prospect Park. Once the speeches were wrapped, dinner was served and the cake was cut, guests danced under the moonlight and enjoyed the Summer night sky. I'm so honored I was able to photograph and capture Nkiru and Richie's gorgeous wedding day. Congratulations Newlyweds!
