Romantic Wedding at The Montauk Yacht Club

A mixture of blush peach, soft pink and light blues was the perfect color palette for Sophie and Hunter's gorgeous wedding at the Montauk Yacht Club. Their wedding was inspired by the soft and beautiful colors of a Summer sunset. While in college, they dated long-distance and wanted to celebrate their wedding in a place that was special and meaningful to both of them. They spent a lot of time out-east and Montauk just seemed to be the perfect fit.

As Sophie walked down the aisle to meet her handsome groom, the look on Hunter's face is all you need to know that these two were meant for each other. The smiles and tears did not stop flowing until they were introduced as husband and wife! Sophie wore a detailed lace dress from Gabriella and her bridesmaids wore soft pretty peach dresses from j.crew. Hunter and his groomsmen had peach seersucker ties and bow ties for a bit of color and whimsy. Sophie and Hunter are the kindest and sweetest couples I've ever had the privilege of photographing at their wedding. I loved every second of their wedding and couldn't have asked for a more graceful couple to photograph. Congratulations Sophie and Hunter!! xo

Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement Photos

The clouds parted just in time to let the sun peek through for Ashley & Jon's engagement session at Brooklyn Bridge Park where for a few minutes, we had the pier all to ourselves. Not a tourist in site!  Ashley's gorgeous red eyelet dress brings a vibrant pop of color to the overcast palette of the day. The love shared between Ashley & Jon shines through in each and every photo. I am thrilled to be photographing their wedding at 501 Union and honored to be part of their love story! xo

Rustic Barn Wedding in Bridgehampton NY

Weddings are celebrations of happiness, true love and starting your life together as husband and wife. Maureen and Hank's gorgeous barn wedding is every bit stunning as it is meaningful. Maureen wore a delicate lace wedding gown which looked as if it was made just for her. Hank had their wedding date sewn into the lapel of his custom tailored suit. The bridesmaids wore their own lace navy dresses and held amazing bouquets of orange, white and blue flowers tied together with a striped grosgrain ribbon. As Maureen's father walked her down the aisle, Hank's face says it all, she was absolutely breathtaking.

After their ceremony, the couples cousins handed out noisemakers to guests so they could make some noise as the newlywed's left the church. For the happy couple, they wanted to create a fun, festive and inviting reception for their guests to dance the night away and enjoy delicious food inside Ocean View Barn in Bridgehampton.

One of my favorite details inside the barn was the marquee love sign that hung above the bar - so romantic! As it turns out, Maureen and I went to the same high school but we only found that out after she inquired about her wedding date. I love how life has a way of bringing the right people into your life. It was meant to be! I am so honored I was able to be part of Maureen and Hank's wedding day and spent a wonderful evening surrounded by love and happiness. It was truly magical!

Cancun Mexico Destination Wedding Photographer

We headed down to Cancun Mexico a few weeks ago to enjoy our first vacation in almost three years. We've been so busy finishing our home, running a business and catching up with family, that we haven't taken any time for ourselves. This winter weather has been unbearably cold (hello, polar vortex!) , so hopping on a plane to lay in the sun is just what we needed. We stayed at the Westin Lagunamar which had the most amazing infinity pool overlooking the crystal clear ocean. We went snorkeling off the coast of Isla Mujeres, drove to see the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and spent lots of time on the soft white sand and swimming in the warm Caribbean Sea. Have you seen water this blue before? Such wonderful memories and since Mexico is so close, I hope we go back next year! xo, Jainé
