It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous before a photo session, especially for expectant parents. My approach as a Hamptons family photographer is always centered on making clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and at ease. Before we began, we chatted and walked the property, allowing the couple to settle in and enjoy the moment. By focusing on natural interactions and genuine connection, their nervousness quickly faded, replaced with laughter and authentic smiles that shine through every image.

Throughout the session, I encouraged the couple to move, laugh, and simply enjoy being together. From gentle embraces on the cliff’s edge to playful moments along the shoreline, each image tells a story of love, anticipation, and joy. Cherry Blossom Family Photos in Central Park, NYC

Each year, we wait for the cherry blossoms to bloom in New York City. The city is engulfed but a sea of pink and white blooms and for about two weeks, it’s absolutely magical. I couldn’t have planned it any more perfectly for this sun-drenched morning family session in Central Park just as the cherry blossomed reached full peak. The glowy golden morning sun was coming over the reservoir and it was as if we had New York City all to ourselves. We captured this little lady who was about to turn one with her adoring parents which is one of my favorite milestones to capture. There’s a saying many parents share: going from one to two children is the biggest leap—but from two to three? Surprisingly smooth. After spending the morning with my clients, now a family of five, I think they’d agree. It was such a joy to visit their home and capture newborn photographs as they welcomed their baby boy into the world. As a parent myself, I know how quickly the early days pass in a blur—but photographs hold onto the feeling forever.
