Sunset Family Beach Photography at the Sound View in Greenport, NY

Family beach photography will always have my heart. The mix of salty air, soft sand, and warm sunset light creates the most effortless setting for real connection. This sweet milestone session at the Sound View Hotel in Greenport, NY, was all of that and more, shy smiles at the start, sandy toes, and twirling princess dresses by the end.

Greenport is one of my favorite locations for family beach photos. Nestled along the North Fork of Long Island, it feels like a peaceful escape while still being an easy trip from the city. The Sound View Hotel sits right on the water, overlooking the Long Island Sound, which makes it a dream spot for a NY family photographer.

This Greenport family session at the Sound View Hotel had everything I love about family beach photography: a beautiful location, soft sunset light, and a family willing to simply be themselves. From those first shy moments to the last twirls by the water, we created a set of images that tells the story of this season in their lives in a natural, heartfelt way.

If you’re dreaming of your own family beach photos on the North Fork or anywhere from New York City to the Hamptons, I would love to help you create a relaxed, meaningful session that feels true to your family. Please contact us to get started today!

Greenport Engagement Photos on the North Fork, Long Island

Every so often, the universe brings you a couple that was absolutely meant to work with you. For me, the moment I spoke to Katie and Mike, I knew we were meant to be together. We absolutely clicked from the first hello and I am so excited to be part of their wedding day at the Jamesport Manor Inn on the North Fork of Long Island hidden in the sea of vineyards and wineries. For their engagement photos, we visited their favorite town of Greenport all the way at the end of the North Fork. We had a perfect morning on the docks before heading over to the infamous 67 Steps Beach to finish our session. (side note, you cannot run on the beach because it’s all pebbles - now we know) It was so much fun spending a few hours with this incredible couple and I cannot wait to be part of their big day and future family milestones.
