For this sweet couple, Montauk is where their love story really began, so coming back to Kirk Beach for their engagement session felt perfectly full circle. With bare feet in the sand, a white flowy dress, and bright blue skies overhead, their session was relaxed, playful, and beautifully true to them.
We met early in the morning on what turned out to be a true bluebird day with bright skies, white cresting waves, and the most beautiful clear light. The bride to be wore a white, flowy dress that caught the wind with every step, and he kept it classic with rolled-up pants and a soft, neutral shirt, ready to run straight into the water.
We started by the dunes, then wandered down to the shoreline, stopping at bits of driftwood along the way. They chased each other through the surf, splashed in the shallows, and walked hand in hand along the water’s edge. My favorite moments were the in-between ones: the way he pulled her close when she laughed, or how she looked up at him with the waves crashing behind them. Nothing stiff or posed - just two people completely at ease together.
